  • Therapy sessions last around 50 minutes.

  • Yes, I provide both Telehealth and in-person therapy sessions. If you are interested in Telehealth, this is something we can discuss in our initial contact.

  • No, all intake paperwork is done online through a HIPPA compliant therapy portal.

  • Yes, this is a vital element of the therapeutic process.  Unless you want your care provider to speak with others, no one will know what you discuss or even that you are attending therapy.  The few exceptions that legally require us to break this rule include learning that you are at imminent risk of harming yourself or another person or if we learn of current child or elderly abuse.  If such situations occur, it is our policy to make every effort to fully discuss this with you before taking action.

  • No. I provide talk therapy. If medication is necessary, I share an office with two psychiatrists and will be happy to provide you with referrals and ensure that your clinical needs are being met.

  • Yes. You may stop whenever you choose and are only responsible for fees already accrued as a result of services received.

  • I currently accept BCBSNC and AETNA.

    Also, I am an out-of-network provider for all other insurance providers

  • - Puts you (the client) in charge of your own physical and emotional health. You, instead of your insurance company, will determine the number and length of sessions. Insurance companies sometimes limit what diagnoses they will cover - this does not have to be a concern any longer.

    - Copays and deductibles have been rising dramatically over the last three (3) years.  

    - Increased confidentiality - This eliminates the possibility of individuals gaining access to your health care information through your insurance company and records.

    - You may still be able to use your flex savings or health savings accounts for our services.

     Services may be covered in full or in part by your health insurance or employee benefit plan. Please check your coverage carefully by asking the following questions:

    - Do I have mental health insurance benefits?

    - What is my deductible and has it been met?

    - How many sessions per year does my health insurance cover?

    - What is the coverage amount per therapy session?

    - Is approval required from my primary care physician?
